Reviving American patriotism, one pin at a time...

Hello. My name is Jeremy. I created Old Glory Pins with a clear vision: Americans around the country wearing American flag pins every Wednesday, and, when one such American sees a fellow citizen also wearing an American flag pin, they exchange a friendly smile, a nod, or a greeting; they experience a strong sense of community; and they recognize happiness and hope in each other's eyes, knowing that they share common values and an appreciation for our nation and that the character and values that have made America the greatest nation ever to exist on Earth live on and will be passed to the next generation.

To achieve this vision, I am working hard selling 9 styles of American flag pins, all made in the U.S.A., door-to-door, at events, and online. My marketing, in addition to door-to-door sales and selling at events, consists of presentations at meetings held by patriotic organizations, advertisements by patriotic YouTube content creators, and word of mouth. Word of mouth is the most important part of the success I will achieve with this business. My profit margin is low because I keep the price of the flag pins as low as possible, so, for me to be successful, I need to sell large quantities. To achieve high sales volume, I need customers to spread the word to acquaintances who then become customers and spread the word, and so on. I must convince customers that doing so helps achieve the vision of abundant, vibrant patriotism across the U.S., a vision I hope they share as well. Then, spreading the word is not about making money for me; it is about making our shared vision a reality. If we succeed, and I do sell a large quantity of pins, I hope my customers will believe that I have earned the profits by playing a significant role in reviving patriotism in America.

The other major component of Old Glory Pins is the monthly newsletter. A customer receives a one-year subscription to the newsletter by purchasing a pin or by paying $2.00. The newsletter will feature thoughts on patriotism by fellow American citizens, including how they make patriotism a part of their lives. This will help to build a concept and practice of American patriotism that we can share as Americans, thus strengthening American culture. In this way, the newsletter will also provide a sense of community. Additionally, I will include a report of the success of Old Glory Pins in the newsletter, giving readers a sense of how widespread the practice of wearing an American flag pin every Wednesday is becoming and giving them an exciting feeling of being a part of and contributing to the revival of American patriotism and traditional American culture.

I will strive to always focus on making Old Glory Pins an honest and honorable business as I also focus on the mission of reviving good, healthy American patriotism. I am very grateful for being an American, for living in such a free and prosperous nation, and for all of those who have contributed hard work and courage, and those who have given their lives, toward making and sustaining the United States of America. I hope to also make a substantial contribution.

Jeremy

After high school, I served in the United States Air Force as a Chinese linguist for six years. Following an honorable discharge, I earned a bachelor's degree in English with honors at UC Berkeley and a master's degree in education at Stanford University.

The next chapter in my life was a fourteen-year career as a high school teacher. Although I was fortunate to begin my teaching at a highly competitive large public high school in Silicon Valley, where I greatly enjoyed the students, my colleagues, and the community, I noticed many deep and highly damaging flaws in our education system from day one. I made it my mission to help change our education system to save future generations from the harm it inflicts and to boost American prosperity. With this drive, I extensively studied America's education system by moving around our nation and teaching and substitute teaching in five states - California, Utah, Virginia, Idaho, and Nevada - in almost every type of school and at every level, K-12, with many different student populations. I taught in public and private schools in suburbs, larger cities, small towns, and rural areas. Born and raised mostly in the Los Angeles area, I realized my dream of living in a small town when I taught at a school in rural Nevada with a community population of only 300 and a three-hour drive to the nearest city.

Now, I am back in southern California where I reside with my wife and where most of my extended family live. I have left teaching for a career with San Bernardino County with the goal of writing a book in my spare time to share my vision for a revolutionary approach to high school education. I have written over a hundred pages, but I still have much research and writing before I finish.

I am confident that, with hard work, I will make Old Glory Pins a success. Thank you for your support.
